Incredible Earthquake Performance

Screw piles are high-grade steel shafts. Depending on the usage and ground conditions, they have a single or multiple helix to assist in penetrating the soil. The foundation piling is screwed into the earth by a hydraulic motor until the specified load-bearing pressure for the structure is met.

These types of piles are easier to install, disperse load well, generate no spoil, and they are able to be used in a wide range of soils. Perfect for all your residential building needs.

These piles can withstand a load of 8 tonne.

Dimensions: 76.1 x 4.8mm

Pilot – ‘Arrow’ head

Manufactured from steel, ISO 630 Fe 360A. They are galvanised according to DIN EN ISO 1461

A ground screw emits 50% less carbon than a concrete block covering the same area.

Drill a pilot hole first (Same principle as wood screws)

Lifespan

Most contractors and helical pile designers will estimate a lifespan of approximately 150 years. There is a wide range of potential lifespans, estimated between 75 and 350 years, and the biggest factor determining the longevity of a helical pile is soil condition. How well a pier foundation ages typically comes down to factors that have nothing to do with the pier itself. While a well-designed, well-made helical pile may not last as long in very poor or volatile soils, it can last several lifetimes in ideal, stable soils.

Soil movement, both lateral and vertical, can affect the long-term outcome of a pier support system. In regions with significant ground movement, such as coastal areas, mountainous areas, and regions with fault lines, piers may wear faster. Additionally, areas with highly acidic, rocky, or quickly eroding soils may also contribute to more wear and tear.

Slip Joint Pile Cap

The pile cap represents a simple but powerful innovation in steel screw pile technology. When installed, the pile cap is positioned flush with the soil, allowing concrete slabs to be laid directly on top of the pile while the cap isolates the two.

Patented – The world’s first structural slip joint pile cap, designed to ride up the pile during periods of soil heave, then re-seat down onto the pile during periods of soil shrinkage.

When combined, the Blade Pile and Slip Joint Cap are certified as a ‘Bored Pier’ substitute. This is done by the system achieving AS2870 and AS2159 compliance for design, overall durability, and performance.

The system is a more efficient choice overall, that saves builders both time and money while maintaining AS2870 compliance as an isolated pier.

The machine is powered by a strong motor of 1700 Watts and produces approximately 4800Nm of torque. The SGM06 can install our largest ground screws in almost all ground conditions.

SGM69 is our smallest machine in the high volume category. It features a reliable platform in combination with a hydraulic rotator that develops 1200Nm of torque and very high rotational speed. SGM69 can easily install a small or medium-sized ground screw in less than a minute.
